Bike vs. car

I was in a bicycle accident last wednesday night. Painful to say the least. The passenger side mirror broke off on my bicep. I just have contusions and possible ligament damage. I have to go to a orthopedic in a few days.

OK...

I didn't actually see the movie. But it must've been good because whenever people discuss modeling, this movie seems to bring some laughs into the conversation. Donovan decided to try the modeling scene so we hooked up and got some shots. I must say...The images look good! It's an awesome thing when an 'artist' is not satisfied with his last 'great creation' and continue to try and push the envelope. That's not how I feel. I just said it's an awesome thing. I will say, though, that a good or great image that I've created makes me feel all 'funny' inside. It's a blessing that I don't take for granted. It's an honor and privilege to be able to see what's on the inside and capture on a canvas. Anyway, Donovan makes it look easy! And what's great... HE'S AN AWESOME FRIEND!!!! I really hope he goes far with the opportunity has has in the fashion industry. Here's just a peak at things to come!

After photographing a fabulous wedding on saturday, I am now looking at the photos and editing down the best images. This was one of the best weddings I've been a part of in a long time. From top to bottom, this event was simply awesome. This couple, Greg and Cara are the nicest people you'll ever meet in your life. Any day of the week, I would love to photograph the wedding of a couple who are extraverted and truly confident in the abilities they hired me for. Their friends and families were altogether great, as well. When ALL of the over 100+ guests are genuinely nice, you know you're in for an incredible event. I wanted to share an image that portrays the excitement and joy I experienced during the event.

Today after church, we hung out with some cool people from the fellowship. A lot has been going on so we decided to relax and kick back. As usual, we watched Josiah steal all the attention away from us. What else is new! This is Ashton. Cool kid and his parents are not too shabby themselves!

What a relaxing and fun New Years day. We got a chance to hang with some old friends. I actually photographed their wedding almost 5 years ago. Wow... do they have cute kids. But it wasn't about them today. Josiah was in the pool, so I had to document that. Well, he wasn't exactly in the pool. He was around the pool, throwing stuff in the pool. For some reason, he didn't want to get in. Go figure!!!

We found out today that we will or Kristen will (for the women who gets sensitive when men include themselves in the pregnancy) be having a baby BOY. In August, that will make 3 boys in the home and no girls. We thought for sure the baby would be a girl. But we were wrong!!!!!! Kristen wanted a girl so badly. But she's excited nonetheless. Anyway, she's 16 weeks pregnant and counting.

Hey Guys,

Today was the first time I ever stepped foot in the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood. I helped a colleague shoot a corporate event. BORING!!!!! But it's work and I shouldn't complain. Otherwise a really low key day. I did get to see the final episodes of DAYBREAK online. For 13 episodes it was very good. But again, after 13 episodes, I guess I am the only one with this view because it's been cancelled! Taye is on to bigger and better things, I guess!

Driving Time!!!!

OK...

We left for the Sunshine State after midnight Sunday Morning. We got on the BELT PARKWAY at exactly 1am. But I must confess. I didn't last 2 hours before I handed the reigns ver to my dad. He drove from 3-7am. I was knocked out. Dead to the world. I couldn't believe it because the jeep wasn't the most comfortable. Anyway, I woke up in North Carolina and then I took over. And when I drive long distances or treks, I don't like to stop unless I absolutely have to. I am set on making GOOD TIME. I guess I'm competitive!!!! My dad and I got to our destination in a Orlando area hotel off I-4 at 6pm. 17 HOURS!!!! I thought we made good time. But I didn't look too good...

My wife and kid met us at the hotel about 30 minutes later. Awesome to see them after 5 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After grabbing something to eat, we went to CITY WALK at UNIVERSAL. But we left after 5 minutes because it was just to cold. And I thought I left New York. We weren't the only ones to think that because it wasn't bumpin' like usual!!!!

So, yesterday, we went to the newly built home that my parents are retiring in. Their home is overlooking a lake. Nice view...

We hung out a bit in the city area. Looking at furniture and electronics stuff (at different stores). What was fun driving around was the GPS system that my dad got for his retirement. Co-workers in NY got it for him. It is BANGIN'. WE NAMED HER sandy BECAUSE HER DIRECTIONS WERE ON POINT.

The surprise of the day was my son. Josiah lost his mind!!!!!! I have never seen him so hyper in his 2 years on this planet. I couldn't believe it. But he was so cute because he had sooooo much fun. WHAT A BLESSING HE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Saturday, I spent time with the family and the city at the same time. I met up with a cousin I haven't seen in years. That was cool. I had to hit the APPLE STORE again. Man, was it packed. Could you believe laptop manufacturers haven't made car chargers for laptops, yet. Well, I guess you can't work on a computer and work on your computer at the same time.

THIS IS MY BROTHER SEAN. MY YOUNGER BROTHER....CAN YOU BELIEVE IT. HE HAS 5 INCHES ON ME!!!!!!

THIS IS CAROLYN WHO WAS THE CLASS PRESIDENT IN HIGH SCHOOL. SHE FOUND ME ON MYSPACE. WE WILL BE HAVING OUR 20 YEAR REUNION IN A COUPLE OF YEARS. DAMN!!!!!

We, hit up CENTRAL PARK as you can see in the photo to start the blog. But check out this guy in the photo below. I knew I got a winner when I took the photo. So much we take for granted. Billionaires driving in their ASTIN MARTINS and on the other spectrum we have POVERTY. I can relate to this guy below!!!!!!

We also stopped in the NOKIA STORE. Now that was interesting. The same designer(s) that designed the APPLE STORE designed the NOKIA STORE. The store is very different. Inside the store, the walls change colors evry ten seconds. That's why you see a blue or cyan tint in the photo below. But the most outrageous claim the store has is that the phone shown below is going for at least $300,000. For the grown and sexy!!!!!!!

Well,

Yesterday, my day started by taking my mom to the hospital. She was having eye problems. It turns out that she has high blood pressure. So, she was taking test all day. The doctors held her over night for observation. She's feeling much better now and her blood levels are great. Later on that day, I met up with a friend of 14 years. I shot some images of him and his cousin. We ended up at the APPLE STORE in Manhattan about 2 am in the morning. I didn't get home until about 5 am this morning.

I still can't get it out of my system. There is nothing like being able to relax at home with family and friends. That's what I did today. Nothing to write home about. (NO PUN INTENDED) Anyway, I saw a friend of mine Lenny today. I've known him for 14 years. Cool people's he is. I met some of his friends he works with at the Cheesecake Factory. Then, after they got off from work, we chillaxed at Friday's. Fun time. New Yorkers are special!!!!!!! I miss my wife and kids, though. I won't see them until Monday. I also got to watch the ABC show DAY BREAK starring Taye Diggs. I have never seen it before. I thought it was a bit far fetched. But I like 24 so how bad could it be. Anyway, it was better than I thought. Too bad not too many people feels the same way because the show will end after 13 episodes. I wonder if Taye Diggs were Jack Bauer instead, would he have the same success. I think, and it's just my personal opinion, that white america is still not ready for a black superhero until we bust down the door. And then, it's still a shock and a big to do when we're successful. But that's neither here nor there. Anyways...Day Break is a good show, and Taye Diggs CAN ACT HIS BUTT OFF!!!!!!!!! He will win an Oscar someday. If Jamie Foxx and Cuba Gooding, Jr. can, so can he.

Start Spreading The News....

Today was my first day back in my hometown of Hempstead, Long Island since the summer of 2004. Many memories sprang to mind from the first moment I landed at JFK. Wow...It's been a long time. So, I went around driving a bit just to see the different neighborhoods that I've visited way back when.
This theatre brought back an interesting memory. Way back in 1989, BATMAN premiered to lines out the wazoo. It was the first film to gross 10 million a day for 10 straight days.

Such a awesome day out. Only about 45 degrees. I just couldn't believe the snow I saw all over the surrounding towns.

This was the store where I bought my first camera. It was a pentax K-1000. 100% manual. I guess that's why I have shot EVERY SINGLE IMAGE IN MANUAL MODE thereafter.

The rest of these photos are thought were a bit cool. But don't consider myself artistic...So I'm trying.

1st Week in the New Year

What a week. I am so excited to be in the new year. Last year was great because it was a learning lesson, as it should be. I've learned so much about myself, family, business, and ministry. I know this year I want to enjoy every moment as though it was my last. THAT'S SO CORNY!!!!!!

Anyway, I will have a professionally promising year if this past week is any indication of success. But I guess it all depends on your definition of success. What is the world's definition of success. Let's take a look:

1. the accomplishment of an aim or purpose
2. the attainment of popularity or profit
3. the outcome of an undertaking, specified as achieving or failing to achieve its aims

Here is what God says is TRUE success:

TODAY IS YOUR DAY TO HAVE TRUE SUCCESS. This Message is NOT for Someone Else, It's for YOU, Here and Now. You see it really doesn't matter, If Your Rich or Poor, Black or White, Male or Female, Young or Old. God has a Plan and a Purpose for Your Life. A SPECIAL PLAN Just For You. God says "For I know the Plans I have for you, Plans to PROSPER YOU and not to harm you, plans to give you a HOPE and a FUTURE says the Lord." GOD LOVES YOU and He has a WONDERFUL Plan for Your Life. True success only comes when we give our lifes to God. JESUS said " Whom The Son Sets Free Is Free Indeed." Be Free in JESUS Name, BE FREE!! If you want to Ask JESUS Into Your Heart then Pray this Prayer Out Loud.

I went to the Photoshop World Last month at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Resort. It was a blast. I am thinking I should move out there for good but that's only wishful thinking. Anyway, I stayed with my best friend, Peter, of 13 years. He and his brother has an awesome home in Henderson. I love it out there. That much needed time away was so needed. The hustle and bustle of South Florida is getting on my nerves. Nevertheless, the conference was a blast. So many creative and informative instructors. But my favorite times were being alone sight-seeing and taking these images!!!!!!

TIME...Use it well!

What is time. It is:

• be able to spend moments needed to do something

• an indefinite period

Time is definitely something we take for granted. There is so much of it. There is an abundance of it in our lives. So much time as past in our lives. We, for the most part, do not pay for time. It's freely given to us. It really isn't earned. It costs us nothing. So, why do we take advantage of this precious commodity. Maybe because it comes and goes. Maybe because we can't see it. Or maybe because we just don't care.

Well, in this line of work, time makes all the difference in the world. If we have the time to be creative, your images will be incredible. If we use our time wisely, what a difference that makes our your special day. When you are relaxed, you are naturally more comortable and calm. Your images portray the powerful emotion that attacks your heart. Your images are captivating because it's breathtaking. Or breathtaking because it's captivating. Follow where I'm going with this?

Deva understood what the importance of time meant on her wedding day. What a breath of fresh air she was. Her excitement and enthusiasm only feuled the power and impact of her images. Time was a major factor that we used to our advantage and everything fell into place like clock-work(no pun intended). When you/we use our time wisely, only the best will be produced. Whether you know it or not, time plays an important role in your success.

Give yourself TIME to capture yourself and love it!!!!!!!

Well,

One of the most important days of the year is upon us once more. How many of you think we should have a day for mom's at least once a week? The hardest working, yet most forgotten person of the household. What an incredible blessing it is to be a mom!!!!!! The joys of raising kids. Well, at least for my mom. I was a great kid growing up. At least that's what she says:)

Anywhoooo...who am I kidding?!

I know my wife is so taken for granted. All the money in the world couldn't replace all the work and love she gives to the family. I look at her and wonder if I will ever do enough to repay her for all she willingly does. So, to all the mom's out there who feel that they are so underappreciated, thanks for everything. Thanks for getting the kids ready for school, making breakfast, packing us lunch for work, have dinner ready when we get home, and all the other responsibilities along the way. We love you very, very much and always will.
